this species, usually reported as a Carpathian-Balkan species in the Romanian flora books is mentioned by Flora Europaea as southern Carpathian and endemic for the flora of Romania

A very characteristic plant for calcareous and conglomeratic-calcareous stones of the Meridional and Oriental Carpathians which seemingly is endemic for our flora.
